Mai is a brilliant Barcelona-based artist and stylist, creating beautiful handmade kimonos. I highly recommend checking out her work—her aesthetic is truly inspiring.
I met Mai at a market where she had a stall selling her handmade kimonos; I bought a scarf from her. The thing is, I recently saw the film Lady Snowblood, starring Meiko Kaji, and I love the Japanese aesthetic in photography (Provoke, Daido Moriyama, Masahisa Fukase, etc.). So, I messaged Mai on Instagram to ask if she'd like to try LomoKino, and she said yes.
